My mind wonders off while I'm reading a book and I forget what I've just read. Has this happened to anyone, are there any techniques to contain my focus without distractions? Difficult time focusing on my studies.

Tips to increase memory power. 1. Try to remember what you did all day before sleep while closing your eyes. 2. Start eating almond/walnut, and glass of milk with pinch of turmeric before off to bed. 3. Practice some yog in the morning (weekends will work) 4. Try studying books in a slow pace , repeating if necessary. 5. Avoid watching porn ( not applies to everyone ) ЁЯШО

@cp21... There is nothing to be worried about by such distractions as mind is restless all the time. Which you are calling distraction is in fact attraction! Your mind is attracted to something else which mind thinks is more pleasurable. This is the nature of mind. However, if mind starts wandering off you can start this simple technique: Immediately bring your awareness or attention in between your eyebrows. The region between eyebrows is called Trikuti and it is very easy to control the mind by focusing on this center. Close your eyes and mentally gaze in between your eyebrows. Do this without too much of pressure or strain in your face. Spine must be erect. This technique is described in Bhagavad Gita by Lord krishna himself. Your body is the chariot, your buddhi is the charioteer and your mind is the reins. If charioteer knows how to control the reins, the body (chariot) will be in harmony and help you reach the destination. ~ Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya
