Guys, quick question -

I'm flying to Nepal next month via China Southern airlines. My itinerary is Dallas => Los Angeles(via American Airlines) and, LA=>China => Kathmandu (via China Southern). My question is-

1. Do I still get the 2x23 kg free luggage with american airlines?
2. would i have to collect my checked luggage at los angeles, and re-check it in?

My overall itinerary is booked directly from the china southern airlines website. I'm assuming their policy will dominate the local policy of AA, since they're partners.
Any info will be appreciated, if you have flown similar route with China southern.

Your flight is transpacific, so AA mentions two checked baggage free:
https://www.aa.com/i18n/travel-info/baggage/checked-baggage-policy.jsp

So yes you will get 2 x 23kg free.
