How many laptops can you take to Nepal? I'm going to Nepal for 3 weeks and woudl like to take my personal as well as work laptop. I was reading the immigration legistation here https://customs.gov.np/legislation/detail/41 which says: "One pieces each of tablets or laptop or computer, watch, still camera, video camera, cellular mobile phone and pen drive" Can we not take more than 1 laptop? They talk something about customs below but I didn't fully understand. Is the flat rate Rs. 15,000 if we take more 1 laptop?

Why not consider purchasing from Nepal instead of attempting to evade taxes? рдЬрд╕реНрддреЛ рдЬрдирддрд╛ рддреЗрд╕реНрддреИ рдиреЗрддрд╛

i have had 3 laptops with no issues ( 2 work, one personal all used ones ) , 2 mobile ( one new one used ) , one lg 43 " udh tv . nobody asked for BHANSAR . i was under false impression that you have to pay bhansar for tv , no body said nothing . yes, but they stopped me at JFK for having a gold ring in luggage .Qatar airways asked me to voluntary remove the gold ring ( tiny ) from luggage and put it in carry on . As i mentioned it was voluntary, if i refused, they would still let me board but i could have trouble in Doha airport, they said and i complied. Nepal has strict policy for undeclared gold it seems , other than gold, nobody seems carry for nothing . i had nearly 16 grand usd undeclared n like i said nobody cared.

If Nepal wouldnтАЩt impose huge tax on imported goods I am sure many would purchase in Nepal. 300$ laptop cost 3 times its price in Nepal plus you donтАЩt get insurance if you want to add. You werenтАЩt there to fix that so why bother if someone want to bring it rather than purchasing in Nepal.
