Isn?t it high time now to show unity and solidarity ? Most of the ppl now reading this thread are from abroad and some from ktm I know we are lacking the large number of ppl from remote side of Nepal in the discussion forum. I just read a news.. Finnish donate Rs 500 every year to Nepal.. and this clicks my head. Why can?t we send a letter and at least a dollar to support the king fighting against terrorism. If we can buy 25 dollar tshirt to show our support to American troops or firfighters, cant we do it for our own nation??? Despite being criticized by all around the world.. I think the support of Nepalese from abroad will definitely boost up him and encourage him to work smoothly and being motivated and determined on his mission to bring peace and prosperity back.

I am not involved in politics and I am an ordinary Nepalese. Sending at least a dollar from Nepalese living abroad is just an idea. I am cautious now if anybody thinking I am seeking opportunity to ingulp some dollars then you are wrong. Its just a thought. And I hope this thread will get ur attention for a healthy discussion for supporting king or making him cautious or wishing him for the completion of the mission he intended to do.

Most of the countries have not shown the green light to king?s action that?s why I think support from Nepalese is a lot more valuable for king. We want to see peaceful and prosperous Nepal. Not to forget when king Birendra proposed Nepal as Peaceful country like Switzerland then we got support from a lot of countries around the world.. and King Birendra?s mission was remain incomplete when India (so called our gret fren) disapproved the proposal.

I don?t know if I am thinking to much or asking you to think too much? but just want to know ur thoughts.. What you all think is there anyway we can organize a committee to collect ur letters to king .. ur suggestion or comment or ur donation .. that the committee will mail it to king. Or even without a committee.. is there anyway we can send those things directly to the king???

Even a bunch of Nepalese?s support to the king will be more than the support our country seeking from India or USA or Britain. I think this is our last hope.. and the king is the ray of light light.. of our hope. Let him grow and work for our nation. Lets show our unity and solidarity. in my opinion, we should give gyane a chance. if he resolves democracy after 3 yrs , as he has mentioned , then what is the problem.
if you think democracy is essential, then suggest few names of leaders whom we can trust.
your view is also correct, no doubt about that. but in this period i think gyane is only the hope we have and we should support him.
let him concentrate on his job that he has promised.

I can not believe, I guess no one believes, King will return democracy in three years. I was also, at the first place, thinking that he would do something for our troubled nation. But, after seeing his cabinet ministers and behavior of palace members, I think he neither brings the peace nor the democracy. He just want to LOOT our nation from his chamchas and relatives after puting the Nepalese at dark. I think you are well informed that

1. Tulsi Giri had abondoned Nepalese citizenship.
2. Kritinidhi Bista had lost his 'Jamanat' from Kathmandu during multiparty elections.
3. Ramesh Nath Panday is the most corrupt man.. more than the political leaders
4. Radha Krisna Mainali is disciplineless person..and so on..

I have also heard that Kamal Thapa, Biswabandhu Thapa, Padma Sundar Laoti and Bijaya Gachhedar is joining the cabinet soon. (It means if anyone supports King, is he not corrupt? .. what do you think?

How can we hope from these guys who are more corrupt and BRASTA than the leaders?

1. You do not want your personal rights.--> You want to be slave of autocratic ruler.

Meteors say: I do not want to lose my personal rights? but it?s the state of emergency. What about Ktm blokade, Nepal banda..??? i am sure you have answer that who are violating my personal right to ride my bicycle in the street to go to college or up to grocery stores?? You have an answer if a rikshawala can not work due to nepalband or a taxi driver?s family is starving due to Nepal band??? Or a labor can not go to work due to Nepal band??? And if I put my personal rights asides to solve the problem..or at least let the worker go out and earn their bread .. personally I would not mind it. I had enough of my rights violated.. some more rights violation to restore the peace and safe society will not harm me.

There are a lot of problems? teachers being killed in front of student tied in treetrunk? Biggest example of violation of human right. Trying to disrupt the whole academic system .. a filthy attempt to disrupt the SLC exam. How many personal rights violation you want to know??? I have more than enough to tell if I put the whole list. Anyway.. I hope you have made a sort of picture where I was heading with those examples.

2. You think that 'No news is good news'.--> You do not want to see the news even if some of your family memebers are killed or murdered (think carefully)

3. You want to give the freedom to Army --> You want to let the army freely rape your mother and sisters (think carefully).

People dies if they could not reach hospital in banda. Let me be more specific. My mom might die if she could not reach the hospital after she had a stroke. Make sense???? Now I can take my mom to hospital if ever she has stroke. You are one of the enlightened nepali.. I am sure you can make picture of my broken words.

6. You want 'Paras-like' personality---> You want to let innocent Nepalese to be killed.

Meteors say: Who likes Paras???? I don?t think anybody here wants to honor him as king. Yea but at the same point? I don?t want to see Maoist (terrorist) ruling upon me after their barbaric killing. And if you can accept Maobaadi (terrorist) as a part of Nepali Government or wish them to rule over us.. then what is the difference between Maobaadi (terrorist) ruling over us and Paras Ruling over us?????? I don?t want both.



FutureNepal : It is better to think and compare between king, political parties and maoists instead of vomiting one sided propogandas. What are you thinking about the followings:
1. Gyane killed his brother and entire family to become the king.

Meteors say: if King G killed his brother then why our so called democratic government could not find out the proof to spoil his image in the public?.. or punish hem?. rather they announced Dipendra a solo culprit and let others go.

2. Paras killed many people in discos and roads.

Meteors say: I agree. He should be punished. But how can I trust the old democratic govt. who failed to do it. They had mandate to work on it. They failed too.. I request you to be little flexible about finding political exit from the crisis we have now. And making people aware of their rights. And if we have to do andolan again to restore democracy after few years too then.. we will restore democracy without violence. I had already seen enough blood in life. I would like to you remind you that.. India got independence and democracy without violence. Gandhi set such a good example and tradition that no leader in India ever dares to hold guns and attempted to get public support with guns in one hand.


3. The palace is accumulating the most of the taxes from the people.

Meteors say: Give the proof and file a claim in the court. Do you know how much properties our netas had accumulated yet after democracy?????


4. It is the king who closed mouths, ears, eyes and mind after Feb 1 even though he failed to do any good for country since ASOJ 18.

Meteors say: It?s a complete blame.. please don?t speak without base. Why and how you are blaming him????? State that too.. I would answer then?. I would like to add one more thing? Recently From yesterday the price of cooking gas has dropped by Rs.50.00 and Kerosene by Rs 2.00. We should always appreciate good things.. no matter either congress did it or communist or royalist or nationalist. Good deeds are good deeds whoever does it.

6. It was the king that originated and highlighted Moist problem at first to make the leades fail.

Meteors say: Be more specific with proofs. As far as I could say.. I feel it?s the media and divided policies of political parties.. who highlighted Maoist more than king. When a karyakarta of Nepali Congress lst got killed? NC had big vocal? but communist put silence and gave illogical statement like the NC member who was killed was more a Tyrant in that village so maobaadi killed them. Here being the biggest opposition party, they failed to take a person as nepali rather they saw him more as a NC than a Nepali.. Media portrayed the maoist action in the heroic patterns as the opposition party did. Later they started killing Communist ko karyakarta? and Communist party had big vocal this time?. NC kept silence?. And there was the other group too Communist (baam dev group).. they gave illogical statement this time?. The person who got killed was janta ko soshak and similar statement?.. and One day, an Ordinary Person like you and me.. got killed?. Guess what????? No political party had big vocal then??. I wonder? I did not hear the shout of HUMAN Rights Activists either? and see when those irresponsible netas are in house arrest.. see how loud vocal they got now. Sometimes I wonder.. these Human right activist are so biased.. coz they know if they speak for big big political figure they would get attention of foreign countries easily and oh yea.. their support in dollars?. But if they speak for an ordinary person who was killed.. then hardly ever they would get foreign attention and no dollars!!!

At the same time I would like to pin point one more thing. When Maoist killing acts used to publish in the headlines of paper as heroic acts.. all political party wanted to get maoist sympathy to their party.. a dirty game. I blame media too. Killing Is killing?. No matter what the reason is. If somebody got killed? it?s the violation of law and order of the state. Media should not have portrayed maoist as heroic figure since they were violating the laws of state.

FutureNepal: In any sense, King can not be our hope. He is the great trouble. Centre of the Nepal's crisis is King. If no king, there would not be Maoists.I agree that the leaders were not good but Democracy can not be failed at any cost. We can replace leaders from the elections but we can not replace this damn King.

recently saw that people around the world are to protest against King G' move...whatever be their motive behind such protests, I don't want to make any comment..

But I just don't understand where were these people when maoists were killing innocent people brutally..why these people never dare to raise their voices against maoist attrocities?? why these people did not try to internationalise the maoist problem by staging protest in its nascent phase??

February 18, a protest is going to happen in DC for the restoration of Democracy. DC being the heart of America will certainly gain all its attention too. Surely this protest is going to be headlines in the foreign media too and we could hardly ever counter back it. February 18, they are celebrating as 55th Democracy Day in Nepal. And a mass of Nepalese population is going to protest for restoration of democracy in the nation. We have already been so frustrated with the deeds of our politicians within this period of 14 years of democracy. Well guys! People in DC are going to be busy on that day. What about us??? Any of us has any specific plans????

Umm? how I am going to celebrate it??? Let me think?. Yes, I am going to light 11 candles in the name of 11,000 souls and there will be a 12th candle in front of KG?s picture. 12th candle will represent my hope to restore peace in the nation. I will post the picture of it in the thread too. So, what you thinking now???? Do you have any other ways to celebrate Feb 18???

Please suggest me so that we could find one particular way to celebrate Feb 18 when some of the Nepalese will be busy chanting the slogan. Please take a picture of whatever ways we will celebrate Feb 18. We can send those pictures to Nepali Media or at least can compare the picture of those who will be shouting in DC and who will be mourning at home and pray to god for peace.

I really appreciate yall reading the thread and posting comments. This thread has been a good place for healthy discussion and I am grateful towards everyone who posted their comments and invested time to read it. Now the condition is not that bad as it used to be right after Feb 1st , in a sense now we have better access of media to know what is going around in Nepal. We do not accepts things so blindly whatever we read in the media.. rather we could call back home and ask with people over there to get the better situation of Nepal.

I do not want to make a real long posting. So, I go straight today. As we all know, political parties starting doing exactly the same what they have been doing before. Our leaders? main profession is Andolan. They are so skilled about doing andolans? so lets be ready to see one more andolan. We can not say this move is so sudden and unpredictable. So, we have failed again to put aside our selfishness once again for one big reason ?Peace?. Looks like someday Maobaadi and our Parties will shake hands and rule over us again. King is fighting with maoist and our political partying are fighting with king to show how much they care about our freedom and how much they love us. Just a thought .. where were these leaders whenl 11,000 nepaliese were being killed. I don?t know.. but we still think they should lead us.. that?s why we are wagging our tails and following them to protest. King is at least trying to do something for peace and trying to break the terror of Maoist (terrorist) in the nation. Despite being unified for the peace, these political leaders started imposing fractions in us again.

Maybe I am being extra pessimist. Yea, but I accept the fact. I am closing my eyes.. I am being deaf too.. and I am being dumb as always. This could be my last posting in this thread? Long live democracy and King G. I have been told that people in KTM are happy and its much more peaceful now. I dont' understand why BBC interviewed Krishna Mahara, to publicize their accomplishments so far.

I mean the BBC reporter asked biased questions leading to certain answers to highlight Maoist accomplishments and how successful they have been? Krishna Mahara's interview ended saying "just limited cities and the capital are left and people should watch out for the blood shed that will take place in those places before they declare victory...". Why are Maoist getting so much attention, they are not a political party of Nepal. BBC is being biased.

Perhaps, its good to see faces behind the masks of reporters or their true political beliefs. Nepali people are not dumb to trust any media or any story anymore. BBC got to be less bias and more patriotic and perhaps a little more considered of the message they are sending being one of the most reputable media. Anyway, Meteors, thanks for your feelings...there are many people like us. But, we certainly need more to over shadow the rest less like us.

Ok, this is how I see it.

We need a secure Nepal for than anything right now. Democracy and multiparty system comes second to security and right of the Nepal to live. A powerful and smart leader who can sort the today's problem is a must for Nepal. Let's give him a chance to prove it.

King G has more things to loose if things doesn't work out ultimately. He could lose his kingdom and life if he goes againt Nepal and Nepali people. In last 16 years we didn't have a powerful and respected leader. Everyone who got elected did their their share for betterment themselves and theirr relatives. But I do say it was a lot better than 30 years of Panchayat. The system was degrading each and everyday. Maoist problem got a boost everytime there was instabilty in Nepal. They became so powerful in this 7 years of instablity, it looks like we might have civil war if we don't do anything now.
What I feel is King G has the chance to sort the problem. Let just watch and see and support him for all the right moves he does. We can always revolt as soon as he is goes out of the boundry.

I think we should give him a chance.
