How in the world are republicans good for immigrant population? They did not support immigration reform, they do not want gun control. Mitt Romney is speaking out of his ass of health reform as the Health Reform is based on his own Health Care reform from Massachusetts when he was a governor. Also Fox is the most biased network leaning heavily to Republican agenda. They oppose rights for Homosexuals and support tax cuts to the 1 % rather than the rest of the population. States like Arizona who have Replication mayors are making their own immigration laws. They are actively bringing God (christianity) in government while the US constitution clearly states that you cannot mix those two.
Just my little rant.

It was Reagan who gave blanket amnesty....Democrats are all for talks...but really have not done much about immigration...it matters to them only during election year......Obama could have passed the Dream act by 2010, but he chose not to....that says it all....

With regards to Cable News.....people bash the channel they watch the least......if you watch Fox all day and compare that to MSNBC...you will know which is feeding you garbage.....

Don't start cursing all of us here, just because of first two uneducated responses. Aren't you glad that most of the immigrant community isn't swayed by the Fox Entertainment (it's definately not Fox News) and chose Dems?

I will make it fair, here's verbatim of Fox's Analysis comparing the two candidates:

IMMIGRATION:

IMMIGRATION:

Obama: Issued directive in June that immigrants brought illegally to the United States as children be exempted from deportation and granted work permits if they apply. Took the temporary step after failing to deliver on promised immigration overhaul, with the defeat of legislation that would have created a path to citizenship for young illegal immigrants enrolled in college or enlisted in the armed forces. Says he is still committed to it. Government has deported a record number of illegal immigrants under Obama.

Romney: Favors U.S.-Mexico border fence, opposes education benefits to illegal immigrants. Opposes offering legal status to illegal immigrants who attend college, but would do so for those who serve in the armed forces. Establish an immigration-status verification system for employers and punish them if they hire non-citizens who do not prove their legal status. Would end immigration caps for spouses and minor children of legal immigrants.

Let me use a raw metaphore here:

Republicans look for  ways to provide cheaper labor costs to their masters/doners (corporations). In this process, it makes sense for them to encourage programs like H1B and J1 for higher level jobs and be silent (at national politics) level for low level workers (Mexicans, and others). But at the same time they need to tell their hate and fear mongering voters that they are working hard on the borders and on H1Bs as nothing roars the Republican base as much as the common hatred for the non whites.

The relationship between the Republicans and  immigrants is of a Pimp and the whore. Even if the Pimp has no respect for the whore's existance, he still needs the whores to provide service to his customers. He would want the whores to be available but have no rights, voice, or willpower to do anything.

Now the irony is that....Us the immigrants are actually benefited by the moral "abuse" that we get from the Republicans. We need a system where labor prostitution is still possible and Republicans are better at maintaining labor prostution than Dems.

While repbus create enviroment for labor prostitution...Dems are like a wife who not only discourage a labor prostitutes get near them but also work very hard on stopping them form entering US at all by lobbying hard on Border patrols and strick H1B visa policies.

Sap is correct. Repubs see immigrants as sub humans than themselves. You have to be pretty crazy to vote repub here. Wade Micheal and Timothy McViegh were Repub voters. Do you see yourselves voting the same party the KKK and the racists fks vote for?

SAP dude ..the metaphor that you've stated is EPIC!! Kiddo ! I'm not cursing, I'm bewildered by the fact that why some Nepalese jump in the Republican bandwagon, as far as Romney is concerned he is up there in top 4% - if you know what I mean, and this guy made $20.9 million, I repeat $20.9 million in one year just in Capital Gains. Why do you think he only prefers to talk to FOX news? why? For some of you there are several other news source than Rush Limbaugh, and Glen Beck. and in the holy words of Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson ..."Child Please!!"

Shumsher,

I will tell you why some of the Nepali become Repub in this country. Many (Congressi and Mandale) older immigrants, especially DV holders see all of their other rivals ( UML and Mao) favoring Democratic party as soon as they land in USA. So the ignorant ones automatically think they have to pick a party opposite to what his back home enemy picked and become a Repub.

Some may just be intrigued with the principles of supply and demand and probably assume Repubs as the defender of free market and the principle of supply and demand.

Some like the American Top Dog attitude, support war against the communists, muslims, poors, weaks and resource holders. They think repubs are for having americans walking around the world with a stick in their hand.

My 2 cents, mostly about media influence:

·         We all know what msnbc is dull compared to fox.
·         We all know that 90% of the voters won’t change their minds/ position now.
But, coming to the media manipulation, I have extreme dislike for hannity but for some reason I end up watching his show almost every day he in on air. He says the same thing over and over again. His favorite guests include governor Palin and old guy who lost to Obama and one retired army person. Though some may disagree with things they say, both o’reilly and hannity more are interesting than other presenters. Can I add Megyn Kelly to the list?

I hope there are others,  like me, watch some/lot of fox news and (but having more support to left, than to the right), appreciate those including fat bill in ‘the 5’ and others (so called democrat advisors, strategist) simply because they take the brunt of attack in the so called 'fair and balanced' fox new debates,.

I definitely appreciate Rachel Maddow in the MSNBC. The way she analyzes the news nicely and puts a lot of humor into her presentation.

As they say, among fox or msnbc, i like cnn.
For the very ‘to the point’ differences follow this link:

 Thanks guys for your input.
