I want some information about the colleges and fees for my sister who is interested in studying Nursing. She has completed +2 in science background from Nepal. I am looking for a college or university in Northen VA area. She will get instate or federal loan. So she has decided to study fulltime without working for few years.

Which unversity (or community college) do you guys suggest ? I dont have much idea about nursing field. Can anyone provide me the fee and cost for the whole course. Please suggest me what will be a best idea.

Thanks in Advance.

hi,

I would suggest her to join community college, it is cheaper than joining university......much much cheaper.. go for nearby community college..

first before she can get admitted to the nursing college, she has to undero prerequsite course before she is allowed to join nursing.. so she has to take those pre requisite class first.....

just google for commmity college near that area and go for information classes... and you are all set.. .. but i have heard that its difficult to get admitted to nursing program .. but ask the school about that..

thats it for me .. if you need further suggestion... just send messgae and wil try to help..

regards, and good luck....

just like texasketa said, ask her to join a community college and have her finish her pre req. Ask her to atleast maintain 3.5 CGPA, getting into nursing school can be tuff. I don't think you can just start a nursing school, you need to get into the program.

Also if she is just coming to usa, she needs to live in the state for minimum 12 months to establish a domicile and receive in-state tuition. Suggest her to work atleast 20 hours a week on campus so that she doesn't end up being in a pile of debt.

first year of school should be breeze , so working up and paying for the school shouldn't be tuff..goodluck
