If you have family and kids, Germantown is the place for your choice, memphis city schools are not great (bad). If you are single and work around downtown/Med area, live in Blair tower at Washington Ave. And give your personal safety a priority in Memphis, especially walking in the evening and late night.

There are about 100 Nepalese in and around Memphis, TN. Like pkrish said, live around suburbs (like Bartlett, Germantown, Collierville, Lakeland or Arlington) if you have family. Mud island and certain places are relatively safe as well if you want to be close to downtown. Avoid South area closer to airport and Mississippi.
