I have been suffering from a blister since long inside the lower lip. It comes and goes away frequently. It starts increasing and becomes like full of blood and then stays 1 day and goes down . Again few days later comes and goes away. I has been doing for about 2 months. I visited Dr. but they could not figure out what is going on.

Does any one has this problem and had this problem in the past. Does anyone knows about this? please help me providing suggestion.

thanks

most of the times, it is due to a lack of specifc protein called lycene. This protein is not usually obtained from the body, instead is produced by the body itself. So weather or stress cause the body to be weak and thus this protein does not get a chance to be formed.

What you can do is get the 'Lycene' protein on small tube as well as capsules. You can usually order online and is delivered from 1-2 days. Google it for the online purchase website. the small tube helps you get rid of it temporarily but effectively. the capsule one a day makes sure the body has enough so that the blister does not show up again. Any question, let me know.

The best part of it is that it does not have any side effect. So take my word and give a shot. And when it works, stop by and let us know.

Cheers,

KN broda,

thank you for the pic... tara bro le aadhi kaam matrai garyau.. you did not mention what other tx regimen you had tried before.

By the way.. tyo cold sore or fever blister hoina... that looks like canker sore.

Uni le vaneko thikai ho.. lysine is over the counter product .. that you can find in any pharmacy... that is used for cold sore..

Broda, how often you do change your tooth brush?? and what kind of tooth paste are you using??? maybe it has SLS ( sodium lauryl sulfate). SLS gives foam when you brush the teeth. Squigle is a tooth paste with least amount of dermal irritants and does not contain SLS. Or ask the druggist in the pharmacy to hand you a tooth paste without SLS.

For canker sore: use over the counter canker medication.. use the one with benzocaine that will decrease the pain. Benzocaine is local anesthetic agent and will numb the area... decrease the pain.

Bottom line: Change your tooth brush and tooth paste. If possible use the toothpaste without SLS. You can add on once a day centrum (multi-vitamin). By the way canker sore is not contagious so you can are ok to kiss... hehehehe... Aba pani complication vayo vane.. see a dentist. Get well soon broda.

Khilanath,

I think i had exactly the same type of blister some 12 years ago. It came and went for a month or two. When i visited my school's dr. , i beleive he said something similar to what Shirish is saying , "its a blockage of the minor salivary glands" and that it didn't have any cure. However, each time it grew in size, i let the doctor puncture the blister ( yes the blood will come but it won't hurt) and eventually it stopped coming up. Hope it helps.

yeah sorry my bad.....i meant lysine. So when you get the lysine ointment in a small tube, make sure you carry wherever you go and use it as often as needed, Dont let your lips to get dry. As i said before, there is no hamr at all for using more often.

And also for the capsules, I remember when my friend ( who is a health practioner here ) told me to be sure that it contains amino acid as they together form a layer in those canker or blisters and come in effect. Hopefully, you will not mind giving a shot for the lysine soon and feel better dude.

Cheers again,

Meri_Uni.

By the looks, it is a "mucocele" -  a blockage of the minor salivary glands.

You may or may not be traumatizing the area by sucking or brushing or eating, and for some reason the orifice of the minor salivary gland got blocked and the salivary production got accumulated instead of drainage. There are more than 600 minor salivary glands in the oral cavity and the ones inside the lips are most frequently affected.

There is no treatment and usually it gets ruptured and when the fluid drains, you may get a salty taste in your mouth. To prevent secondary infections, you have to keep your mouth clean.

If it gets recurrent and bothers you, removal (surgical) of the minor glands may be an option, but I do NOT think you will need it. It usually gets resolved by itself. If it gets too big, you may puncture or it gets ruptured itself.

Saliva itself has lysine so application of extra lysine may not be beneficial. Don't bother applying lysine.
SLS, detergent in toothpastes, may cause ulceration and what you have is a blister so you do not have to worry about SLS causing it.

So don't worry and keep us posted. Hope this helps.

Guys
I am having the same problem right now. It really hurts and It made me sick. It comes to me several times year. Visited the doctors, they just recommend to use some jell medication, forgot the name. It happened several times and I am tired to doing medication. Here is my experiences

It lasted sometimes more than a week.
During this period don't drink orange juice or some acidic products.
Take some capsule of Vitamin B complex every day
Clean up using baking soda.
Drink alot of water don't keep in dry for long time

I think, this is dude the lack of some vitamin in your body. I think it is Vitamin B complex or something and Stress will definitely help and if you have any problem as gastric, this maybe the reason

My current blisters called mouth sore lasted for more than 5 days.

Blue_moon

What they have advised is for "apthous ulcers" or "canker sores". Its an auto immune condition where the basal cells are attacked and the top layers of the mucosa gets necrosed. Typically, you will have yellowish  lesion with red halo around it.

Its believed that apthous ulcers may be precipitated by acidic food like pineapple, tomatoes and oranges.
Stress is also considered a precipitating factor.

There is no cure - just the symptomatic treatments are available.

If you treat the lesions, they get healed in about a week, if not, they get healed in about seven days.

I had EXACTLY the same problem few years ago. I don't even remember when and how it stopped. All I remember is that I thought -- without any professional medical consultations -- it was a matter of acquiring better oral hygiene. Hence, I did a thorough dental cleaning, and increased the frequency of brushing, gargling with Listerine, etc.

I have this seriously unstoppable habit of biting my inner lips and cheeks too. The Docs: How damaging can that be? How to stop?

Blue moon

SLS may contribute to apthous ulcers.

He He Poonte,

You got into a habit - a repetitive behavior. Anything that chronically traumatizes is not good.

HiTT!! May i add Lidocaine 2% viscous solution and/or Nystatin (optional) too?

Magic Mouth Wash = Benadryl + Maalox + Lidocaine

Recipe = 2:2:1

Shake well before use. (LOL sometimes i find it funny... but it applies really well to all the guys out there. Excuse me ladies!!)

Sig: 1 tbsp Swish and spit tid.

>>>> NK broda, How many things are you going to try now??

I think you guys need to come up with at least a provisional diagnosis rather than randomly giving him treatment options and confusing him. He should go see a dentist or an oral surgeon (though they will say the same things I have said.)

For me its a mucocele, a mucus retention cyst.

I visited oral surgeon and he said mucocele and needs to do some 20 minutes long operation to remove it. He says that it won't go away without operation and comes back again again.

I have not taken any medication so far except using Listerine two times a day. From the last Friday, it has not become large with bitter liquid inside but there is still very small solid object remaining. I am not interested doing that operation mainly because my insurance does not cover all the treatment. But I am in doubt that it goes away by itself.

suggestion is appreciated. thanks

I told you exactly the same things !

You can consider "laser" for it is less invasive and healing is excellent.
