My girlfriend( not really but...) is waiting on her greencard from her previous marriage ( separated 3 yrs ago, divorce finalized 7 months ago). I really dont know her status now( coz u dont ask those stuffs and u dont tell ur stuffs right away)  but she says she is waiting on her immigration stuff which might take 6 months according to her attorney. So question is that how long is it going to take to get her greencard and what are my chances if I marry her now or later ? I felt like I needed a greencard anyway coz I had F1 problem. You know what I mean...study your ass off..get all the degrees you wanted...just to sent back to college right after the OPT. I seriously  have no intentions going for Ph.D.

She has to wait 5 years from her first green card which is conditional green card to file second petetion for spouse if the the first one is from marrige. I am 90 percent sure abt this because i read this on instruction for filing i130. I might be wrong but you can check this on uscis.gov. It is clearly mentioned somewhere in the website
