 Hello,

I am trying to find an affordable University for my masters degree in Accounting. If you have any suggestions, please help me. NYU, Baruch( don't have MBA in Accounting with accounting major), Columbia are expensive...Are there any other universities with good MBA program in NYC? Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.. I can get in-state tuition fees too..

Thank You

why don't you go with regular Mba OR MBA with a different contentration other than accounting. if you did accounting in bachelor then it looks redundant. if you take MBA in finance or marketing, it shines on your resume. it shows diverfication.

In most instances, if you don't get your MBA from top 10 programs, it will not result in significant bump to your career.  Perhaps, a graduate program in Accounting or Finance might behoove you.

yes, Nepali american is correct. doing MBA will definitely give booast to your career and you should do it regardless of anyything but doing from top 15 would give you a turbo boost (that is it will give you a good headstart).

MBA in accounting doesn't make much sense to me as you already have a BS in it. Instead, if you wanna excel in accounting go for CPA or else MBA finance is always a reputed degree compared to any other genres.....getting certified like CPA or CFA would matter more than adding degrees...good luck...

i would suggest you work few more years and save as much money as you can and then target a good school. getting admitted into MBA without sufficent work experience is tough though possible.

as bobj suggested, CPA is a good start.
