Hey chyame Bro i am not supporting Maoist. I know that Nepalese people are becoming perpetual victim from maoist since there so called people's war. But we shud see the problem from both perspective. I paste that artile only to make the thread balance so that the viewer can analyse. Making the country in a a state of impunity is the one we cannot put up with.

PIRE and MUMPHALI

Now i will tell you what balance is and what is the difference between maoist and non moaists is

Lets suppose you wrote that article posted above in a newspaper or public media, nobody from the himal media or kantipur will come and physically assult you (atleast i havenot heard), they would rather argue through critisism, press meet or repelling article.
now lets suppose you wrote something against maoists union in a newspaper or public media, these jangalis will come with weapons within your office or house and i dont think i need to write anything more

now you make a balance and differentiate ...........

Chyame,

I don't see things the way you see. Nepal doesn't have only the Maoists and non-Maoists. This taxonomy is yours, not mine. To me, there are Maoists, there are democrats and there are royalists, the hardcore one who hasn't defected to the Maoists yet. The Maoists and the royalists are same:they both hate democracy, they both wanted a opposition-less polity, they both want a person to lead them to "prosperity" while all dissenters are damned, they both have no respect for those who oppose them, they both would prefer no election, they have no mechanism for leadership change within their rank and their idea of regime change is possible only through violence. I favored giving king a palace to live in Nagarjun, giving his mother a place to live in narayanhiti, and as long as he is content with that, I think he will have a happy life. But if he shows more ambition regarding reestablishment of monarchy, then he will write his own end. Royalists have once already screwed Gyanendra by making him too ambitious, which led to him losing his throne. The way you guys are harboring dream of monarchy,  you guys will only rest in peace , it seems, when he is hanged in a tree by the people.

(For the record, I think, Kunda Dixit/Ashutosh Tiwari were rarely hardcore democrats, unlike Kanak Dixit. At least, I never saw them in patrakar andolan in Kathmandu during king's rule. May be because they joined patrakarita later. I also think Kunda supported king's first speech --before he delivered his last speech in fear in baisakh 11-- in bbc or something like that. I remembering being pissed off at Kunda for that, especially since Kanak was in jail at the time. In my opinion, they always thought they were wealthy kids who could take any concept--democracy included-- as long as it benefitted them. They surely thought they were better than other ordinary poor patrakar and avoided hanging out with them....)

Maoist thugs like jammarkttel ,Ramesh Babu Pant and other  YCL cadre if not punished by Prachanda led Govt. and  continue to terrorise people, I don't see why it won't  drag us to yet another  Gaur-Kanda  . I hope this wouldn't happen and Maoist leaders will be able to curb such abhorrable activites in future.

Few years ago, when we heard of killings, we used to be saddened, worried and threatned.  Now is the situation, when I hear of reporters being killed, I feel a sense of joy.  Am I becoming inhuman?  No matter how much I try to deny, I know I am becoming an inhuman creature.  After all, this is what I have experienced for past 10 years.  Civil war started when I was just 14, and today, I am 24.  I have witnessed mostly blood, corruption, killings and uncountable to name.  I have spend my youth age in this war.

I want to thank Maoists for the first time, and probably will be the last time.  These journalists devastated Nepal; some worked for Maoists, some for Girija, some for India, some for China, some for Christians, some for Muslims, to devastate Nepal.  With all these forces against "Nepal"--King Gyanendra could not fight, after all he was an inexperienced King as well.

I salute Gyanendra for what he did to save Nepal--his motherland, my motherland.  His defeat was our defeat, my defeat, our coming generation's defeat.  I have no answer for my future kids who will question me--dad, what did you do to save "Nepal"?  Unfortunately, I will feel so disgusted that day, that I might try to hide myself away from the world.  If he does not, History will question me.  With this young blood, education, zeal, smartness, I was so busy for myself that I could not secure my children's future, my Nepal's sovereignty.  I apologize in advance--future generation, please forgive me.

Here you go another royalist.... who thinks raja narahe desh rahanna..

I hate people like you, who, just to prove yourself right, want Nepal to be part of India. Proof? Look at your name.:)

Why in the freaking world you guys think Nepal won't be there, or anyone loves Nepal less than Gyanendra. Sure, I give you that Gyanendra loves Nepal, and that's why he took risk and stayed behind, rather than going to India. Even I would probably haven't done that, and in his whole life, this is the only instance when Gyane won my admiration. But that's all. There are more patriots in Nepal than just gyane and his gangs. For the royalists, patriotism means parasitic habit, while Gyanendra ruled they prospered, their ancestors got birta, they got job without having to work hard, and democracy was all new to them. New leaders, new people. But look, royalists were never there to save Nepal, couldn't have saved Nepal. After all, after 1950, more than 500 kings in India agreed to be the part of Neharu-led India once they were promised money (called privy purse). Thankfully, the offer was never made to Nepal...

What a comedy --

PM Dahal accuses ex-monarchists of defaming party

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has accused the ex-monarchists of infiltrating his party in order to defame it.

He claimed that the latest incidents which dragged the Maoist party into controversy had been orchestrated by such elements.

A few days ago PM Dahal had told journalists that during his meeting with Indian ambassador Rakesh Sood, the latter had talked about his recent meeting with ex-King Gyanendra in which the former monarch had said that all his loyalists had now turned into Maoists.

├втВм┼УHas Gyanendra sent his people to become a lot more anarchic (within Maoists) and unleash mggayhem?├втВм┬Э, he asked, adding, ├втВм┼УI am both suspicious and fearful of this.├втВм┬Э

PM Dahal said so at a function held in Butwal, Wednesday. nepalnews.com Dec 25 08

GP,

I think you are a professor or something like that. So, do me a favor, and show me the exact instance of such invitation, which conference it was and cite the reliable source for it. It is important to write something substantial rather than throwing a few hearsays here..

In any case, the most of the "patriotic" Ranas ended up living and dying in India (Rachi, Bangalore )etc. They took our money there, even the prime ministers such as Juddha Shamsher , Mohan Shamsher. So, please stop feeding these shitty data..

If I seek heroes in Nepali history, I seek ordinary villagers--those fought to create the country, those who fought to protect the country, those who were deprived from power, but who consistently fought to preserve democracy, preserve sanctity of human life under oppressing regimes. It is a common villager like me and you who we should be proud of, we set up the country, and we will rule the country under democratic flag. You are a very confused man, GP, you have no freaking idea who the real heroes of Nepal. You sometimes support Birendra, sometimes Girija, sometimes thrash them, you ideas evolve more than Nepe's, and you continuously worship false heroes--perhaps you are so guilt ridden that you left Nepal for greener pastures anyway. In your stream-of-consciousness type comments here, you have managed disgrace your intellect. Collect your thoughts, and make some judicious, logical thoughts, you will see that Nepal is more than Girija/Deuba etc, it is more than a few snobbish families in Kathmandu, it is you and me and all others in villages who never got the roads/hospitals that were promised long ago. No king was good for us, no maoists will be good for us. We are our own savior. To pin our hope on Rana benevolence of the past was the worst thing you could come up with.

raju,

Which brother of Prithvi Narayan Shah was lost? I mean, I know all five his brothers, and none of them was killed.

And you think only PN Shah lost his relatives? Several households lost their family members. Furthermore, prithvi narayan shah's family was amply rewarded for their sacrifice. If they hadn't died, they would be ploughing their field in Gorkha rightnow, not driving Lamborghini in Singapore. Gorkha was one of the poorest kingdoms even two hundred fifty years ago, and look around for other princes of similarly poor states. We don't even know if they have food to eat now. Stop invoking PN Shah to justify Gyanendra's rights to throne. How many generations do you want ordinary Nepali to pay for his acts? I am a fan of PN Shah, but let's not overdrag his contribution to all his paagal descendant. If you want Nepali janata to respect PN Shah, stop making these ludicrous statements.

You royalists have nothing left now, nowhere to go ,but to support democratic process, and get behind democrats. If you overreact and get behind Maoists, hell awaits you for being twice fool. I think Gyanendra has shown relative maturity in understanding his position, not you punks .

Dude saroj...u got the same opinions dude....I think the same .....Those people now ruling the nation are the same people who victimized ( as Prachanda calls it) more than 13000 Nepali innocents to death. But we Nepalese trusted them and gave them a chance and what we see now is the clear picture of what it's gonna be like in the future....And the army infilteration thing, if they join the two armies.....I'm pretty sure we'll be f**ked up more than what it is now.....Memorize the days when we were scared of the Nepalese army because of how they treat ppl during the war......Now if the two armies, once rivals, join together there will be the internal disturbance in the military structure of our nation......It'll be all politics in the barracks and camps ... Attack on media is the last thing they should've done...I dunno how true the stories are inside the Himal media but whatever it is .....If the incident really happened after the firing of the workers in Himal Media then they should have gone through the freakin' law.....THere is still a Law in Nepal....I think so ....Yeah they say ....there is one .....So what the hell is the government and the judiciary doing watching those robbers and mobsters ( affiliated to maoist, the ruling party of democratic-republic Nepal) attack on media.... Take action against YCL bitches .. YCL are the illegal bitches of Prachanda whom he uses to suppress his oppositions ......The same maoist who fought against the national security forces are YCL..( there are proofs) F**K YCL
