That would be fun man. I heard that Akhtar hit a ball at 156 kph on Sachin's helmet. If that is true then, I'm glad Sachin is still in one piece !!

Finally something that is truly living up to the hype of india-pak series. A couple more wickets and we'll see afridi afridi-ing india with his fast one's like those of shoaib ;). Hatrick in the first over is prolly ultimate dream of every bowler. Pathan will be treated as a deity as he did it against pakistan. But Fightback from Akmal showed the character of this paki team esp against india ;). Les hope for few toe crushers as well than just thunderbolts.

This one is going to be a close call, but my take is PAK, simply because they perform better in pressure and shine with true colors especially against india. Indians on the other hand have a classy batting line up, but with the likes of speedgun Shoaib and deceiving Afridi in the bowling armory, PAk have a definite advantage against Indians. The indians seem to succum to the pressure of PAK bowling time and agian and lose wickets cheaply. This test will be no exception. Since the track is all seemer's friendly and India have to bat last, PAK team should be delighted and bowl a descent line and length throughtout to claim this test.

my oh my how the scenario changes once the pitch lets the bowlers have a say :) australia notwithstanding, would anyone disagree with me if i said on their best days, pakistan have the best bowling lineup and india the best batting lineup in the world?

Ganguly is OUT and Dhoni in !!!!! Deficit just below 100... This test match could go anywhere. Yesterday I was lucky to watch the free video in WINAMP. Today, it is not working. I can just watch live scorecard from www.cricinfo.com Lets see what Yuvraj and Dhoni can do

- checking the score soon after reading Putali's post, i found the followings: Recent Overs: . . . 1 . . | 4 . . 1 . 4 | . 1 4 1 W . | W . . . 1 Current Partnership: 1 run, 0.4 overs, RR: 1.50 Last Wicket: 165/7 (35.1 ov); Partnership: 0 runs, 0.2 overs, RR: 0.00 MS Dhoni c Kamran Akmal b Abdul Razzaq 13 (13b 3x4 0x6) SR: 100.00 35.5 Abdul Razzaq to Kumble, one run, down the leg side, short of a length, Kumble fends the ball to the leg side, Akmal dives but cannot quite hold onto that tough chance 35.4 Abdul Razzaq to Kumble, no run, full and on the stumps, driven to mid-on 35.3 Abdul Razzaq to Kumble, no run, fullish and drifting down the leg side, flick played and missed, off the pad to the leg side 35.2 Abdul Razzaq to Kumble, no run, just short of a good length and on the stumps, Kumble goes back and defends back down the pitch 35.1 Abdul Razzaq to Dhoni, OUT: just short of a length, on the off, a hint of movement away, Dhoni goes for the booming drive and can only manage an outside edge to the keeper! Razzaq does it again for Pakistan! India 165/7, Partnership of 0 MS Dhoni c Kamran Akmal b Abdul Razzaq 13 (13b 3x4 0x6) IK Pathan 0* (1b) Abdul Razzaq 9.1-2-48-3 (4nb) India in deep strife now, staring down the barrel at 165 for 7! Pakistan have roared back into this Test match of twists and turns End of over 35 (6 runs) India 165/6 (trail by 80 runs) Mohammad Asif 15-1-59-3 (3nb) - Pavilion End MS Dhoni 13* (12b 3x4) IK Pathan 0* (1b) 34.6 Mohammad Asif to Pathan, no run, short of a good length and outside the off, driven at, off the outside edge to gully 34.5 Mohammad Asif to Yuvraj Singh, OUT: fullish, skidding off the pitch, Yuvraj comes half forward to defend, the ball thuds into pad and then hits bat, three's a loud shout for lbw. Upheld! That pitched in line with leg and was heading for middle. Big blow for the Indians! ---- Razzaq is NO DOUBT one of the best all rounders. He has not only taken a crucial wicket (10dulkar) but also (mostly) contributes well on the scoreboard. Md. Asif, looks like, he will be chosen for the rest ODIs... he is performing so well. --THe final test going so interesting.... good news is that, this gonna be a DECIDED match. - catmandoman thx for the link though it is working for a micro second only.

.II-inning began so quickly. It took only 1.5 days for the Ist inning. Match is getting interesting now :))) Pak used only 3 regular bowlers and Afridi at the end only. Asif did a great job. Younis Khan din't use Kaneria during the first inning. The pitch giving more advantage to the fast bowlers. Pak openers playing patiently now Pakistan 245 & 22 for no loss (5.4 ov) - n. nepali==> i think it's not free. Give the exact link.

Pakistan have the upper hand by the close of hte play, Day 2. But it looks like that this pitch is difficult to play when the ball is new (Pakistan second inning does not suggest this though). And once the ball loses its shine, it may not be that difficult to play. So Pakistan should be able to take a sizeable lead on the third day. If Pakistan bat the whole third day, they should not have any difficulty in winning this test. I think that is what they will try to do on third day. If they can do so, they will have a good total to defend and plenty of time (2 days ) to take 10 Indian wickets. But since there is no Inzamam and Afridi is unpredictable, Pakistan may collapse on third day. I think the key to this test will be how long Younis and Yousuf bat and how well Indian top order bats. If Pakistan can rattle indian top order, they will win this match. Anyway, this test is shaping perfectly. Lets see what happens...

so, finally what would Pak ask for, almost perfect day of cricket for them. They could have left India to more precarious position than this had they not dropped the initial chances with Pathan and Zaheer but the way they batted in the 2nd innings made sure they take a firm grip of this test and hence the series. Remaining task: - Bat through the third day and set a 450+ target for the indians. - Sehwag will be the key person so will be Dravid, get 'em out cheaply and impose the pressure on the middle order. I am sure they will succum to the pressure of the tall order and tight bowling from the Pakistanis. Remember, indians are bowling last in this and the way the pitch have behaves so far, it would be a bowler's paradise altogether in the last couple of days. Don't want to sound too over ambitious but series has mostly been finalised. Pak -1 Ind -0.

with few experience of playing cricket myself and a dyehard fan ,,its a grt thing to comment here..... mr lonely ur predection is 50/50....now the match is on ,no one hand....believe me 3rd day is the crucial.....it also looks as the match in progress the pitch is damping out.. good for batsman...if on 3 rd day pak able to play whole day and amke target of 400 plus then pak holds a strong position..but with the new ball it is really hard to stand with deceiving bowlers like pathan....so first 15 overs of the 3 rd day play pretty much gonna decide but still guys u never know in cricket...and my inner inguest tells me that either vvs laxman or sehawg gonna change the turning point...sachinis too tired guys...so u need today action just write to me back ,,we watch here live from internet....ok guys i think however india gonna win it becoz of second batting and they play well against pak in any of the pressure match............................

.Mr. lonely, it's too early to predict the result on the second day. Now, it's the tea time on the third day. The final session will begin soon. On the 3rd day, Indian bowlers have been struggling since the beginning as the pitch has become slow and batsmen getting more benefit. Thanks to Y2 {Yousuf Youhana (i follow his previous name and will always) and Y. Khan} for playing so brilliantly through out the series. However, unlucky Y. Y. is !!! just fell by 3 runs. What to do with Kumble's guglee??? it hit the pad and Umpire though took the time, rose his finger up. Anyway, hats off to Y2 jodi !!!! Since, two more days to go and bowlers are not able to get much advantage, I think, YOUNIS KHAN might have advised his boys to play steadily and patiently. Right now THE IIMPATIENT Afridi is palying so steadily (38). The new guy Iqbal is giving him the best support on the other end. Pak leading by 381 runs (prior to the finall session on 3rd day) with 6 wickets remaining looks a very strong and secured now. However, looking at the Ind batsmen line up, Pak should not be much confident from now. Though Razzaq and Akmal are yet to bat, if PAK adds around 200 runs till tomorrow lunch and ask IND to play, they will be in secured position. As the bowlers are struggling so hard to bowl out the batsmen, I feel that PAK will declare tomorrow a bit late (condition: if they have wickets in hand and lead by at least 525+) and this match might not bring out the WINNING result. Still question mark ?????? ==== The final session of the day just began. Let's see what happens on the forthcoming overs.

.Congratulation to Javed Miandad's nephew, Faisal Iqbal for the TON in such a crucial match. The local boy did at last. One amazing thing is from No. 1 to No. 6, all the batsmen crossed 50, and now, Razzaq is at 44 at the end of third day (hopefully, he will go ahead). Pak leading by 518 (+) will certainly put India on pressure during their second inning. Dravid attacked using his 7 bowlers today, however, Pak batsmen could not be stopped from piling up the scores on the scoreboard. As usual, Afridi showed his own style of batting by hitting 2 sixex and finally Singh got him, however, a bit late.
