Depends on if you had previous EAD.
First, find out your 150-day asylum EAD clock. Then check when you most recently filed for a TPS EAD. If it falls within the allowed time frame, USCIS will reuse the same biometrics. Applicants from other countries who previously filed TPS EADs and later filed for asylum have also received notices stating that USCIS will use biometrics from their existing records. This can speed up your work permit process.
There is no need for “if this, if that” thinking or unnecessary worry. Your own jinx can be your worst enemy.
